PMO FAQ Frequently Asked Questions
|
How
can someone find out if I am PMP certified?- Project Management Institute maintains an online certification registry if anyone has any questions about
the validity of anyones certification. If anyone previously held the PMP certification and let it lapse their name will
not be in the registry. PMI does not verify if anyone has previously held the certification and let it lapse, they
list only currently active PMP certifications.

paste this link - direct linking to PMI pages other than the home page is disallowed)
- What is a PDU Credit?
- A PDU is a "Professional Development Unit".
Project Management Institue allows for one [1] PDU to be assigned for each one [1] hour of "face-to-face"
instruction relative to Project Management. Each person awarded a PMP certification must earn 60 PDUs over each
3 year certification cycle to renew and thereby keep their PMP certification. PMI will send you a letter when
your renewal time is near and you must apply for renewal on the anniversary of your certification, failure to renew will
disqualify your certification going forward. PMPs can renew at www.PMI.org, and can log all PDU information at the PMI web site when it is awarded.
When
is the date and location finalized?- When a roster fills to a minimum of 10 students we will freeze the roster and the location two weeks prior to
a class schedule. We will honor late submitters according to the rules posted on this web site.
- How
can I get a PMP Exam Training class location in my area?
- Right now we are running classes in many locations. When we have a group of 10 or more individual students registered,
we will work with the students to set up a training class in a location central them if it is desirable. For classes running
in 2009 & 2010 we expect the locations to mostly be in the central New Jersey (Princeton) and midtown NYC with few
exceptions.
